Color Me Plaid

Plaid is back in full fashion! From scarves, shoes, coats, bags and even plaid tights, plaid is making its impression.

Take it lightly and wear a splash of plaid by pairing a scarf with your LBD. Or take this trend to the top and go wild with plaid tights. Don't forget, this is a great way to take advantage of the layered look! How? Throw on a dress and cinch your waist by wrapping an extra long leather belt around. Top that with a checkered, plaid or tweed vest, and finish the look off with a scarf.

Find this steal at Forever 21! This Plaid Babydoll Dress gives a two piece look by ruching together a knit top and a plaid babydoll skirt with pockets. Layer with a cardigan and some flat knee-high boots and you're ready for fall!

To add a feminine touch to this girl-gone-plaid ensemble, mix in a splash of pizazz with the Bloom Flower Necklace from Stella & Dot. Red beads are hand-knotted onto silk threads, finished with a hand painted enamel flower.  You can fashion two trends this way by mixing plaids and florals!

Florals for Fall

Spring isn't the only season anymore where you can fashion florals. Dip into an abstract floral print with bold colors and mixes of geometrics for a strong fall statement.

Anthropologie's English Garden Blouse is a great way to mix in this trend. Balance the movement of this top with black skinny jeans and peep-toe ankle boots for a fresh fall look.

Don't forget to decorate! Stella & Dot offers a variety of floral pieces in their Fall 2009 collection that would be the perfect touch to a floral print ensemble. From the Bloom Flower Ring ($44) and the Bloom Flower Necklace ($69) to the La Coco Brooch ($118) and the Kelly Cuff ($89), your choices are endless.  Play around with the selection and choose pieces that you can stack and layer.

One of my favorite combinations is stacking the Kelly Cuff in Ivory/Black with the Geometric Stretch Bangle, only $39 (Below).  All available at my E-Boutique!
